Frequently asked questions
The short answers to what people ask before they order: what the price includes, how long it takes, how the design proof works, and what happens if something goes wrong. The policies themselves are linked above.
Ordering & pricing
What is included in the price?
Everything it takes to get the goods to your door: the items, your logo on them, the formal design, freight, import duty, US sales tax and door-to-door delivery. Nothing is added at checkout. If a carrier or customs agent ever asks you for money on a delivery from us, don't pay it; forward it to orders@golfeventgear.com and we will settle it.
How do I get a price?
Type a line or two about your event into the box on our homepage, or paste the email you would have sent a supplier, and give us the event date. Within the minute you have a proposal priced for your headcount and date, with a package recommended and every item adjustable before it goes in your cart.
What is in each package?
The Essentials puts something in every guest's hands: balls, tees, towel, cap and the like. In Frame adds the pieces that appear in the photographs, such as polos, pin flags and banners. The Championship adds the full dressing of the day, from the backdrop to the canopy tent. Each contains the one before it, and sponsor signage can be added to any of them.
Is there a minimum order?
Each item has a supplier minimum: the fewest the maker will produce in one run. Where your event needs fewer, we quote and make the minimum, and you receive all of them. Medals, for example, are made in runs of 25. The proposal shows the raised quantity before you order, so it is never a surprise.
Do you deliver outside the United States?
Yes. We are US-first, but deliver to around sixty countries, and the price is still door to door with duties and taxes included. If your country is not in the address form, ask us: it usually means we have not yet confirmed a duty-paid route there, not that we cannot go.
Where is my cart kept?
In your own browser, on the device you are using, until you order. We see nothing of it until you order, ask us to email you the proposal, or write to us. It will not appear on another device, so use "Email me this proposal" to carry it across.
Can I talk to someone before I order?
Of course. Leave a message on our contact page and a person replies within the hour, or write to orders@golfeventgear.com. One contact, from the first question to the delivery, is the point of us.
Artwork & proofs
What artwork do you need?
Your logo, in the best form you have. SVG or PDF is ideal; a sharp PNG or JPG works too, up to 10 MB, because we redraw the artwork for the formal design in any case. If you only have an Illustrator or EPS file, send it in reply to your order confirmation.
How does the artwork proof work, and what does it cost?
Within 24 hours of your order we send you a formal design: your artwork vectorised, its colours matched to the ink and the fabric, and placed and sized on each item. It is free, and we revise it free until you approve it. Nothing is made until you do.
Are the pictures on my proposal the final design?
No. The pictures you see before ordering, whether product photographs or a quick draft with your logo laid on, are there to show the idea. The formal design that follows your order is the proof, and the goods are made to match that.
How do I approve the design?
We email you a link to the design page, where you approve it or ask for changes. Please answer within three business days of receiving it: the delivery date we quoted assumes it, and so does the on-time guarantee. Read it as if it were the finished goods, because an error you approve is an error we reproduce faithfully.
Can you match our club colours?
Yes. We match to Pantone coated references and hold one standard across every supplier in your order, so the cap, the polo and the banner are the same green; give us the Pantone numbers if you have them. A screen cannot be matched exactly, so where a colour is critical we can make a physical sample first, at extra cost and time.
Can we print a sponsor's or a club's logo?
Yes, with their permission. When you order you confirm that you own, or have permission to print, every mark you send us; a tournament, a sponsor and a club are three different rights holders.
Production & delivery
How long does it take, and what if it arrives late?
We quote one number of days that covers both making and delivering, and your event date sets the pace: rush under 25 days (costs more), standard from 25 to 54, economic from 55 (costs less). Roughly, The Essentials needs 12 days or more, In Frame 25 and The Championship 45, and the site will not offer a package your date cannot carry. If your order misses the event for a reason within our control, we refund it in full and you keep the goods.
What exactly does the on-time guarantee cover?
Any delay within our control: production, our suppliers, our shipping arrangements. It holds when you approve the design within three business days, the address is correct with someone there to receive the goods, and you have not changed the order after approval. It does not cover delays you cause (late approval, late sizes, artwork changes, a wrong address) or events outside anyone's control, such as severe weather, natural disaster, strikes, or government or customs action. Claim by email with your order reference within 30 days of the event date; the refund goes to the original payment method, and you do not need to send the goods back.
Can you deliver to the golf club?
Yes: to any physical street address, including a club, hotel or venue, as long as you name someone who will be there to take it. We cannot deliver to a PO box. APO and FPO addresses go by postal service and take longer, so tell us early and we will allow for it.
Will everything arrive together?
Not always. A large order may travel in more than one consignment, because apparel and signage are made in different places; each part is tracked, and each is timed to land before your date. You get tracking by email when the goods leave us.
What sizes do the polos come in?
US sizes, S to 3XL. Every polo is quoted in L until you set a size breakdown on the cart page. Set the real one before you order, or tell us before you approve the design: sizes that arrive later hold up the order.
Payment
How do I pay?
By card, on Stripe's secure checkout page; your card details never reach us. You can pay in full when you order (Order & Pay), or see the design first and pay when you approve it.
Can I see the design before I pay?
Yes: choose "See the design first, pay later". You place the order without paying, we send the formal design within 24 hours, and when you are happy the Confirm & Pay button on the design page approves it and takes payment in one step. Nothing is produced or ordered from our suppliers until the order is both paid and approved.
Can the price change between ordering and paying?
No. The price is fixed when you place the order, whichever way you pay, and changes only if you change the order. On a pay-later order, production starts when you Confirm & Pay, so do it within three business days of receiving the design to keep your delivery date.
Changes, cancellations & returns
Can I change my order after placing it?
Yes, until you approve the design: tell us, and we re-price the order for the change. After approval a change may still be possible at what it actually costs, but it can move the delivery date and ends the on-time guarantee for that order. Once the goods have shipped, nothing can be changed.
Can I cancel?
Before production, at no cost and with a full refund; a pay-later order you have not yet confirmed has nothing to refund. Once production has started, a 30% restocking charge applies, because blanks have been bought and machine time booked. Once the goods have shipped, the order cannot be cancelled.
What if something arrives wrong or damaged?
Email us your order reference and photographs within 30 days of delivery, and we will remake or refund what is affected. Loss or damage in transit must be reported within 15 days of the delivery date. Talk to us before sending anything back: photographs are often enough.
Can we return goods we no longer need?
No. Everything we make carries your logo and cannot be sold to anyone else, so goods that match the approved design and arrived on time are not returnable.
How long does a refund take?
We process it within 7 to 10 business days, counted from when returned goods reach us, or from when we confirm the claim if nothing needs to come back. It then takes 3 to 5 business days to appear, and it always goes back to the original payment method.
